Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Switch off and unplug the Zanussi ZEBF 250 W Refrigerator before cleaning. Clean the interior with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Avoid using detergents or abrasive powders. For the exterior, use warm water with a little washing-up liquid added, as some kitchen cleaners can damage the appliance's exterior.
Defrosting
This model is designed to be frost-free, hence no manual defrosting is required. However, ensure that the air circulation slider is set correctly depending on ambient conditions.
Condenser and Compressor Care
At least once or twice a year, ensure to dust the condenser and compressor at the back of the appliance using a brush or vacuum cleaner. This helps in maintaining optimal performance and prevents excessive electricity consumption.
Door Gasket Maintenance
Check the door gasket regularly to ensure it is sealing properly. If the gasket is not fitting perfectly, use a hairdryer on a low setting to gently heat the affected area and allow it to fit naturally.
Temperature Settings
Use the thermostat control knob to set the temperature between 3 and 4 for optimal performance. Adjust the air circulation slider according to the ambient temperature to ensure effective cooling.
